It's a must have for the Leapster 2. My daughter & I love this game. It's fun for her and I love the fact that she is learning to write letters, numbers, and shapes.
The external cartridge games are great but it also comes with few games/paintbrush type programs that keep the kids busy for hours learning colors and shapes. Great product, my niece loves it. Amazon delivered it on time.
Her favorite is the onboard games and Dora. She took to it right away and has needed very little help from me. You can not stray from the line and you can not go too far or it has you do it again. She begged me for this one, but it is very challenging.
I just bought the Leapster for my 5 y.o. She does keep trying though b/c it's Princess, it just doesn't hold her interest for very long. It's very precise and frustrating even for me. daughter.
I tried myself to trace the letters and you have to get it right on. There are quite a few games on this one though, I think they are the same but have one for Cinderella and one for Ariel. I wanted something she could play with in the car that was educational. I bought 3 games-this one, Dora Wildlife Rescue, and Kindergarten.
In her case it's been a great game. Some more advanced children might not enjoy and become bored. My handicapped sister loves this game. It helps her concentration level a great deal.
We love it. My daughter has learned how to write her alphabets by using this game.
